The interaction of the pesticide formulation with application equipment and techniques is critical to achieve optimum efficacy and minimise residues in fruit and vegetables. With the move towards sustainable agriculture, encouraged by EU legislation, the industry is striving to reduce the use of pesticides, with benefits to the environment and human health. Food production and security present challenges to governments worldwide and the industry must respond to the need for new tools for crop protection in a world where pest and disease pressures may change, together with the increasing demand for residue-free produce.
This one day workshop will present and discuss advances in the chemistry of formulation technology and how application equipment is developing to meet the requirements of food producers, consumers and policy makers.
Papers will be published as 1-page Abstracts, which will be available to delegates at the conference. An example is given on the AAB website - in the ABSTRACTS section. Please send your offer to the AAB office (Email to Rebecca@aab.org.uk; Fax +44 (0)1789 470234). Alternatively, you can submit an offer online, giving the title of the paper, authors, affiliations and a short synopsis of your paper. Click on ABSTRACTS in the left hand column of the AAB home page, then click on the conference title. You can register your email and, after being sent a password, can upload your offer. Please indicate whether your offer is for a platform presentation or a poster. Please ensure your pop up blocker is off, otherwise the Abstract may not upload properly.
