Following on from the very successful Crop Protection in Northern Britain conferences organised by the Association for Crop Protection in Northern Britain (which brings together SCRI, SAC, SASA, SNH, SEPA and the agricultural trade in Scotland), the Association of Applied Biologists is planning to organise a biennial conference in the years between these conferences in southern Britain. We will be following a similar format to the Crop Protection in Northern Britain conference as this seems to be a tried and tested successful formula.
Venue
The first of these will be a 2-day conference to be held at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, from 27-28 February 2007. Accommodation will not be provided, but a list of local hotels and B&Bs will be sent to all participating delegates. Registration costs will be kept to a minimum for students.
Proceedings
The papers from the conference will be published in the Aspects of Applied Biology series and will be produced for distribution at the conference.
The Cost
The day delegate rate for the conference will be £62.50 for AAB Members (£87.50 for non members). Student rates are £42.50 per day for AAB Student members at £55.00 for student non members. Registration includes attendance at the conference, a copy of Aspects of Applied Biology 83, coffee, lunch and tea and VAT. There will be a small reduction for those delegates attending both days.
