SUMMARY:Advances in Integrated Pest and Pathogen Management
DESCRIPTION:Visit Event Website\nIn this exciting meeting we are bringing together the interests of the AAB Applied Plant Pathology and Biocontrol and IPM groups to explore IPM strategies for both pest and pathogen management. We encourage abstract submissions from anyone working on the biology/ecology of IPM projects or in policy research that explores how these strategies can be implemented. In particular we encourage submissions about research/opinion that measure the effectiveness (or not) of the economic-drivers for the uptake of IPM strategies\, both within UK agriculture and farther afield. This event takes place at the Belmont Hotel in Leicester city cebtre\, which is a 5 minutes walk from Leicester train station. Leicester station is on a main North-South trainline so is within easy access from across the UK and beyond. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe meeting begins in the morning of November 11th and finishes in the afternoon of November 12th.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Preliminary Schedule (PDF)\nWe are delighted to confirm these invited speakers: \n\nJim Dunwell (Chair of the Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment (ACRE)\nMartin Lines (Nature Friendly Farming Network (NFFN))\nPaul Wilson (University of Nottingham)\nAmma Simon (University of Nottingham)\nJonathan Jones (The Sainsbury Lab\, Norwich\, TBC)\nJoe Helps (Rothamsted Research)
