JOIN AAB / RENEW

WHY JOIN AAB?

AAB are delighted to have joined up with the Monogram Network to organise their annual meeting.

The Monogram Network consists of UK based researchers with an active interest in small grain cereal and grass (including the C4 energy grasses) research. Commercial scientists and plant breeders are active members and provide the link between Monogram science and commercial exploitation. Monogram includes both basic and more applied research and its members span disciplines including plant genetics, physiology, pathology, breeding, and bioinformatics. Monogram also have extensive expertise in outreach activities and links with industry.

By Monogram becoming an associated Specialist Group, the AAB will contribute its time and expertise to organise their annual meeting. This will provide financial stability for the Monogram Network and over the long-term will hopefully reduce delegate fees.

Over the past decade the organisation of the annual Monogram meeting switched between host organisers, who (usually) lack the time and expertise in conference organisation.

The Monogram Steering Group will make all decisions regarding the scientific organisatio of the annual meeting.

The Chair of the Monogram Steering Group will be invited to attend AAB Council Meetings.
