Plant Biology Education 2: Partnerships, Learning, Audiences and Networks for Teaching (PLANT).

AAB are delighted to be organising a follow-up meeting to the very successful Plant Science Education meeting held in Lancaster in January 2025. We were delighted to publish a ‘Manifesto for Plant Science Education’ that resulted from discussions held within that meeting.

This event takes place in Churchill College, Cambridge University on Tuesday April 13th-Wednesday April 14th 2027.
This meeting will include plenary talks, workshops and a poster session, all of which will allow participants to share their ideas, successes and challenges of plant science teaching. This event has a focus on higher education teaching but we hope it will be relevant for school-teachers. Indeed we will include a session that focusses on secondary education.
The event will be organised as a hybrid event so hope that those people who are unable to travel to Cambridge, can join the event online.
As ever we aim to keep delegates fees as low as possible as we are aware that there is often less conference-funding available for those people with a teaching-focus.
Depending on obtaining sponsorship we expect delegates fees will be £150 for the two day meeting, with reduced fees for Society members (AAB, SEB).
